For this semester, we will continue to focus on regular practice and self/peer-reassessment. Each week students will be asked to compose a paragraph of 300 words. Class time will be divided into three segments. In the first segment, the students will review, in groups, sentences written by each other and attempt to locate errors and to improve the writing quality. The mid-segment will mainly comprise of a lecture on Paragraph Skills. Students may start their weekly assignment during the last segment. Midterm and final assignments will be short essays of 500 words with the topic given at least three weeks in advance.
